Solvay Public Library?
A Friends group provides vital support and improvements for the Library by:
& bringing crucial library issues to the attention of the community and elected officials
& promoting public knowledge of library resources, services, and programs
& raising much-needed funds through book and bake sales and other events for the purchase of new books and other important materials
& developing cultural and literacy programs at the Library
Besides the satisfaction of helping to improve the Library, Friends members may receive:
& the Library newsletter by mail
& member discounts on Library merchandise, like totebags
& early-buy at book sales
Friends members are area residents and library enthusiasts that pay a nominal annual dues to join and are willing to devote a lot or a little amount of time to the group.
