Joseph H. Lewis was a United Steelworkers shop steward at Allied Chemical, Solvay, NY. He was president of USWA local 12457 during the mid-1970s. The collection is focused on the negotiations for the 1973 and 1976 USWA contracts as well as Mr. Lewis’ daily diaries for the period 1968-1977.
